Host Your Own Drive

Food and fund drives are powerful ways to support Second Harvest and raise awareness about hunger in our community. Hosting a fund drive is one of the most effective ways to help—your fundraising dollars allow us to purchase exactly what’s needed at wholesale prices, getting more food to more people. Food drives play a vital role by helping us stock our most-needed items and engaging the community in a hands-on way to end hunger together.

Be a Fundraiser

Fund drives allow us to support more people, more efficiently. Every $20 donated to Second Harvest can provide up to 5 bags of groceries for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. The funds you raise help provide fresh, nutritious foods like produce, dairy, and protein that cannot be collected during a traditional food drive.

  1. Set up your fund drive page and challenge your family, friends, and colleagues to donate!
  2. Track your progress, set goals, and manage your virtual giving page.
  3. Share your progress to encourage ongoing engagement and meet your goal!

Our Fund Drive Coordinator Instructions will help you build your online fund drive page and give you creative ideas to inspire your community to give.

Use our Fund Drive Marketing Toolkit to promote your drive! We’ve compiled posters, social media graphics, a list of most needed items, and helpful talking points to assist you in telling the story of the work Second Harvest does, and your connection to our mission of ending hunger in southwestern Wisconsin.
